Backdrops define the character of the picture. For me, a backdrop has to fit the idea or style of my image. Usually, we physically can not own all the textures we want to use as a backdrop as a real physical thing. There are only so many table tops one can own, and the best patch of the concrete floor (if we have one) is never in the spot we want to take the photo in.
Printed backdrops are an easy solution. Depending on the material, they are easy to store, easy to clean, and are easy to handle. I have some “real”, some painted and many printed backdrops. You can get some of my backdrop designs and print them out yourself.
