Immersion blender
Even before going raw, I owned an immersion blender and used it to make hummus and soups. It turned out to be super handy starting out with the raw food. Only later on I got an actual blender.
Sauces and dressings
Dressings made with soft veggies like tomatoes and cucumbers with nut butter or avocado turn out ok.
Smoothies
Ripe or frozen bananas blended with water turn out quite creamy. But tender fruits and veggies, greens like kale, are impossible to blend with an immersion blender.
Ice cream
You can make banana ice cream using an immersion blender in a large wide bowl.
