Spiralizer

A spiralizer is much faster and easier to use than a Julienne peeler when making large quantities of veggie noodles. It is a handy tool when you are starting out with the raw food. But it is not essential, as the julienne peeler does a pretty good job too. There are so many different spiralizers out there, but all the bigger ones work pretty well in my experience. Always check the blades after using them! Make sure no sharp metal pieces fell off and possibly went into the noodles.

A spiralizer can be difficult to use

When using a spiralizer for the first time, you might get the feeling that it doesn’t work quite well.
It takes a little practice to get used to a new spiralizer and to figure out the perfect pressure and rotation speed.

The hacks

Cut the veggies into medium size pieces, not too large.

The edges must be a perfect 90 degrees angle.

The veggies must be firm, if the heart is soft, it won’t work.
