Herbs

Basics

basil, parsley, coriander, dill, mint, oregano, rosemary

Buying

I prefer buying herbs in a pot. Nurseries sell them at farmers’ markets. Sometimes, the health food stores will have them in pots too. Mint, oregano, and rosemary, if you get them from a nursery, will survive and grow for years.

Storing

Herbs sold by the bunch are very sensitive. When I get home, I trim the stems and store the herbs in a tall glass jar in the fridge.
