Veggies

Shopping

Vegetables are usually the freshest and best at the organic farmers’ markets. Oftentimes, the farmers harvest the veggies the very same day they bring them to the market. At the organic supermarket, I usually get veggies my local farmers don’t grow, like red bell peppers.

Storing

Most vegetables store well in the fridge and/or at room temperature. I usually store tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers at room temperature. Celery stores well in plenty of water just like cut flowers in a vase.

What to eat first

I make sure to eat the veggies first that don’t store well, like broccoli and radishes.
