Eating out

When eating out, a raw vegan restaurant is the best bet, but there is something to eat at any restaurant. As I only buy organic, I try to go only to restaurants that use organic ingredients. I love inviting family and friends to (raw) vegan restaurants, they can have fun trying something new and I can enjoy the food I love.

Raw vegan restaurants

Raw vegan restaurants are a great source of inspiration. I tried recreating some of the dishes I had there at home using the ingredients I like. The dishes at a raw restaurant are usually gourmet raw food and contain lots of oil, salt, and semi-raw ingredients. The nuts are usually not raw or sometimes even roasted. There is nothing wrong with cooked food, but I prefer especially the nuts to be raw. At home, I can substitute these ingredients easily. Even though the gourmet raw food is super tasty and almost everyone I brought with me to a restaurant liked it, I find it too oily and too salty to eat it regularly. On the days I eat out, I try to eat lots of fruits and veggies, to drink more water, and not to snack otherwise.
