Eating healthier

In the beginning of my vegan journey, I ate lots of junk food. After switching to the raw food diet, it was so easy to resist all the temptations of the wonderful vegan junk food.

Better ingredients

On the raw diet, the staples are whole fresh fruits and veggies. I get lots of macro- and micronutrients from them and hardly any empty calories. It’s much easier to find organic fruits and vegetables anywhere compared to organic vegan fast food or convenience products. There are also less unhealthy raw vegan snacks out there than unhealthy non-raw vegan snacks.

It’s easier to be vegan when I eat raw

As it’s super easy to find fresh fruits and veggies anywhere I don’t have to eat out. But when I do eat at raw restaurants, it’s almost impossible to consume animal products by accident. When I would order vegan food at a non-vegan restaurant, I could never be sure to get vegan dish. The chef might use butter when making potatoes, honey and yogurt when making dressings, animal fats when grilling plant-based sausages or frying stuff. I didn’t want to stress out about these things anymore and with the raw food I don’t have to.
