My life before I started eating raw
What I ate
Until my mid-20s I didn’t care much about the food I ate and usually went for quick and easy meals or snacks like pizza, cookies, sweets, Chinese take-out. I rarely cooked at home, just the occasional toast or muesli for breakfast. The only thing I was pretty cautious about when it came to food, was the expiration date.
Why
Everyone I knew ate this way and it seemed to work just fine. I didn’t feel unhealthy or unfit myself, but I developed an annoying allergy over the years. I was also experiencing an afternoon low after a heavy lunch. But my colleagues seemed to go through the same thing, so we all assumed it’s just the way the human body works. Nowadays, I forgot about most of my allergies and never feel tired in the afternoon. Even though I work twice as much as before.
How it all started
As we started dating, I noticed that my now wife ate differently. It wasn’t raw food at that time, but I got intrigued by her conscious way of eating.
